Get a job and move out. Your family should be ashamed for not supporting your lifestyle choices.
As long as you have a job or a source of income for yourself, no one can force you to eat anything you don't want to. If you don't have your own car and they don't let you get your own groceries, have them delivered. I've been in your shoes and it's depressing af, but I had $0 income, no car, and live in the middle of nowhere so can't get them delivered. If this is you I am truly sorry and I hope things get better for you soon.
If you’re 18, why can’t you buy and make your own food?
You'll have your chance. Good luck!
They are not putting a tube in your throat. You can just say no to the food they give you. Make your own.
You're not trying hard enough.
You're an adult. Do what you want.
So you are basically an adult, have money and can cook, but somehow your parents banned you from being vegan? I don't get it.
Op fuck what they say. Just cook vegan, its easy.
I don't know your situation but just keep in mind that standing up to family is a life long adventure. Many of my 30 year old peers still routinely suffer because they have not learned this skill. For me the trick is being willing to define how I want to be treated. Anyone, including family, that does not respect that is shown the door.
Keep your head up.
Everything to avoid animal cruelty and enviromental destruction helps. Keep that in mind.
You're not a child. You can make your own decisions when it comes to your body. I wouldn't discuss it with them - just do my own thing. Being ignored and mocked never killed anyone.
You can cook for yourself, learn to make rice and a nice lentil curry.
Or damn, just oatmeal and fruit, don't even need hot water to prepare.
No one is forcing you to eat animals, unless you are in some kind of prison. Do the best you can do.
Guys. We don’t know his home life Beyond this post. Don’t be so quick to judge. He may not have the means to create food himself.
I wish you the best and hope you’re able to move out on your own soon.
They can't force you to eat meat...
What are they going to do, shove it in your mouth?
How are the earth balance cheese crackers?
I may have gone**
This photo makes me wince as an Australian, that'd be like >$100 of food
That vegan toona is awful. It has the taste and texture of oily ground beef. I'm still mad I spend 5 bucks on it
Even your dog looks concerned
Pulled oats really are delicious! I just ate them tonight with spaghetti bolognese. Definitely my favorite product for a quick hearty meal. 👍👍
I LOVE these pulled oats! Srsly best meat sub ❤️
"No more than 10% of your submissions may link to your own blog/vlog/website/instagram/etc. Such links from brand-new users will be removed." From rules in side bar.
That's for links, so to name your business should be okay.
you paid six dollars to make yourself unhealthy
what are those called? they look so pretty
An old coworker of mine was like "oh you're vegan? We eat halal, it is the most humane meat" suggesting I don't have to be veg because it's "super humane".
I couldn't help but roll my eyes to his face.
Would be nice if they reported on non-halal slaughter too. There's a bit of a myth in the UK that the Muslims are barbaric when it comes to animals whereas we kill animals in a 'humane' way with stun guns. Most people who decry halal murder use it as a stick to beat Muslims with while not actually giving a shit about animals.
Wow that's a big surprise 🙄
I don't even get how people think saying a few words make it ok to kill an animal
I've actually been to one as a kid.
During Eid celebrations, they let inexperienced non-butchers kill the animals by giving them knives to cut their necks while the animal is still conscious.
Sometimes the cut isn't deep enough and the animals go through extreme agony, all the while the regular butchers, from whom the Muslim organization rents the slaughterhouse from and who DO stun the animals, watch in despair as all this is happening for the sake of cultural authenticity (Muhammad slaughtered animals that way).
It's a sticky subject that no one wants to go near, even in Canada, because of the risk of being called racist.
No, never once have I ever felt this way, and I've gone vegan several times on and off for weeks at a time. Heck it takes me a month to not constantly be farting.
Is it wrong I thought he’d slip straight away?
I just finished my second week annnnnd yup
Anybody know what gym this is/ what this type of gym is called?
the feeling of aligning and your actions with your values that we shouldn't needlessly harm animals?
Wish it still felt like that after two years!
all i eat is potatoes all the time
I guess we’re just clever monkeys
I don't understand what this video is in reference to? Is it the feeling of more energy on a vegan diet?
I've been vegan for 7 years now and still the fastest movements I have are bowel movements...
When do you get your Vegan power like in Scott Prilgram?
I guess Assassin's Creed parkour is more realistic than I thought
And people still think we didn't evolve from apes?
Experiencing this rn. Nobody ever told me how much more energy Id have if I stopped eating a diet of mostly cheese and eggs.
Holy Shit this guy is my hero. He's like a real life sly cooper
Except when all the vegan restaurants around you make pizza and dope fried food...
Go easy on the protein madam
The other two are fine, but you don't spread Hummus like that on toast.
The Hummus to bread ratio must always be LOTS of hummus for a small piece of bread!
Hmmm...need some calamari with that pasta, but otherwise its good.
Damn, that looks amazing af. Where is this?!
I want to call them braindead mongoloids, but the sad thing is they probably do know the truth, and are just voting that we should ignore it.
Lmao is this a joke?
